Pleasant hiking temperatures, very long beautiful weather, fog-free view, nature in the rush of colors - autumn is probably our favorite season. Pfunds enjoys the best hiking weather for autumn thanks to the inner alpine situation.

Almherbst - Expierence and Enjoy

The hot summer days are over, the tedious work on the fields & pastures was accomplished. The humans and animals slowly return from the mountain pastures. In the Tyrolean Oberland, Pfunds is celebrated annually large. Almost every week, a traditional autumn event takes place in September. Our sheep have spent their summer holiday on the Hohenzollernhaus - at the Schafschoad the animals return to the Berghof. At the festival in the village all sheep are sheared and distributed - the healthy homecoming of the animals must of course be celebrated. Here are the most important dates of the autumn events also for downloading.     Pfundser Autumn Festival:
 
  • Thursday, September 13, 2018     with the Pfunds guys, band, costume group, etc.     
     
  • Pfundser Almabtrieb: Saturday, September 15, 2018    The cows and horses of the Platzer, Kobler, Gschnair & Radurschlalm return to the valley. The strongest cows are decorated with the so-called Stechstafel - the cows with the highest milk yield with the milktablet.  
      
  •  Pfundser Schafschoad: Friday, September 21, 2018     Our sheep will come back from their summer vacation.    
     
  • 50th Anniversary Sheep Breed Club Pfunds: Sunday, September 23, 2018     
     
  • Three Country Market: 29th September 2018     Products from the tri-border region are offered - around 50 market stalls offer a large variety of products.

Sweet fruits are harvested

 
The sweet fruits from the region are now processed into delicious jams. Cranberries mature in the woods and can now be collected. Even game dishes in the autumn time still high season. You tell us some of your favorite dishes here from our autumn card:
 
  • homemade spaetzle with spicy alpine cheese     
     
  • fine chanterelle soup with cream herbal bonnet     
     
  • Hirschpfeffer - finest stag goulash with homemade spaetzle
       
  • delicate Rehmedaillons with filled cranberry bags   
      
  • Omelette filled with sweet plum jam     
     
  • Apple strudel with crispy puff pastry & crunchy apples ..... mmmhh

Die Natur hautnah erleben

 
Maria & Andreas brechen ab sofort zu den sogenannten "Fernsichtwanderungen" auf und wir versprechen, Sie werden aus dem Schwärmen nicht mehr herauskommen. Die glasklare Herbstluft sorgt beim Wandern für beste Sichtverhältnisse und von einigen Gipfeln, kann man beinahe das ganze Land überblicken.

Untertags aktiv und abends gemütlich...

Wenn es Abends dann kühler wird, heizen wir gerne die Sauna an - Entspannung pur in der gemütlichen Steinsauna -  so soll Urlaub sein!

Die Brunft der Rothirsche - Chef Toni ist kein Jäger, aber die heimischen Tiere im Wald haben ihn  schon immer fasziniert. Fast jeden Abend sitzt er abends wegen der imposanten Hirschbrunft auf der Terrasse.  Ab und zu trauen sich die brünftigen Hirsche bis zur Wiese vor dem Berghof - mit etwas Glück kann man eines der majestätischen Tiere vom Zimmerfenster oder Balkon beobachten.
